Shri Romen Dutta, President, Assam Cricket Association; Shri Devajit Saikia, Secretary, Assam Cricket Association; Shri Porikshit Dutta, Vice-President, Assam Cricket Association; Shri Tridib Konwar, Treasurer, Assam Cricket Association; Shri Kamakhya Saikia, Joint Secretary, Assam Cricket Association; Shri Naba Konwar, Member, Apex Council, Assam Cricket Association and Shri Pritam Mahanta, Chief Executive Officer (In-Charge), Assam Cricket Association today met Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Assam and felicitated him for assuming the much coveted position of the Chief Minister of the State.

During the visit, Assam Cricket Association also contributed a cheque amounting to Rs. 10 Lakhs to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Assam to express its solidarity with the Government of Assam in its uphill fight against the deadly COVID-19.

Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Assam, who has had a long and fruitful association with Assam Cricket Association in the past, assured the delegates of the Assam Cricket Association of all possible help and support to further develop the game of Cricket in Assam. He simultaneously assured that Shri Bimal Bora, Hon'ble Minister, Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Assam will soon visit the ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati for inspection and discussion on various issues relating to infrastructure development of cricket across the State and possible support of the Assam Government for the same.
